Red Karaoke is Halifax’s newest private-room karaoke lounge and nightlife venue. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Part-Time Bartender to join our team and help deliver great service in a fun, high-energy environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working nights, engaging with guests, and being part of Halifax’s nightlife scene.
Role Overview
As a Part-Time Bartender, you’ll be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and creating a welcoming experience for our guests. Training on our menu and procedures will be provided.
Responsibilities
Bar & Guest Service
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, shots, and basic cocktails
- Provide friendly, efficient service to guests in the bar and private rooms
- Verify ID and follow all liquor licensing rules
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Restock bar supplies and assist with basic inventory tasks
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth nightly operations
Qualifications
- Must be 19+
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a nightlife environment
- Responsible, punctual, and team-oriented
- Serve Right certification (or willingness to obtain after hiring)
- Bartending or service experience is an asset, but not required — training will be provided
Work Schedule
Typical shifts include:
- Mon, Wed, Thu: 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Fri & Sun: 6:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Saturday: 6:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Shifts are part-time and scheduled based on availability.
