Role Description:
- Design and develop assembly processes and all documentation such as flow charts, PFMEA, Manufacturing Process Chart, process capability and reliability studies, Operation Instruction Drawings, and other supporting documentation as required.
- Develop equipment and tooling specifications for new lines, programs and projects based on the PE process examination analysis.
- Implement these processes by writing Capital Expenditure Requests and purchasing equipment (machines, jigs, fixtures, material handling equipment, etc.) and setting them up.
- Analyze existing processes for improvements, develop ideas for improvements and perform cost analysis to determine if ideas are justifiable.
- Investigate and help resolve quality/customer/productivity concerns.
- Troubleshoot problems on the assembly floor.
- Train Team Leaders, and Maintenance on new processes and equipment.
- Active Involvement in PDT and APQP activities (especially in the application of mistake proofing methods).
- Support DFMEA activity with Product Engineering
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required to support manufacturing and operational objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Preferred) from a recognized Canadian university or sufficient proof of the equivalency of such a degree.
- Experience in 3D CAD design tools with SolidWorks/Catia experience preferred
- Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally to support business related activities (Travel to suppliers, customer and TR group companies)
- This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid Ontario issued driver’s license and passport. The successful candidate would have to provide proof that s/he has a valid Ontario issued driver’s license and passport upon being hired.
- Seatbelt assembly experience preferred

Pay: $73,943.00-$90,000.00 per year
