A Full Time Support Worker position is available immediately in our Individually Funded Program.
In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that support is provided to clients on a 1:1 basis during leisure activities in the community, at their worksites, or during group programming. This position requires someone who is motivated, positive, and professional while supporting clients, and who can work closely with the Day Program team to ensure clients are getting the most out of their time with staff. Experience in this field is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate. Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviours is considered an asset.
The days of work are Monday to Friday, with varying hours between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The hourly wage for this position is $22.00 per hour.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle required. Extensive use of a personal vehicle is required, as well as the ability to transport clients and their mobility equipment, including walkers and wheelchairs, when necessary.
- Educational background in the human services field or related experience
- Excellent time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, goal-directed team player
- Able to meet the physical and emotional demands of the position
