About the Role
DDS Wireless International is looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team. This position will work collaboratively with the teams accounting professionals, other DDS departments and report to the Senior Manager FP & A. The ideal candidate will be detail and customer service oriented, highly skilled with numbers, accounting software, and a master at Excel.
Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments.

Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile company credit cards.

Record and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Assist with year-end end audit, collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed.

Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies.

Maintain records of PP&E and prepaid expenses and amortization schedules.

Preparing and filing GST/PST returns and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.

Assist in preparing budget and forecast; monitor and analyze monthly operation results against forecast.

Utilize accounting software (familiar with NetSuite is an asset) and other financial tools to manage financial data.

Troubleshoot issues and contribute to process improvements within the finance department.

Ad Hoc projects. Participate in special projects, such as process improvements, cost analysis, and financial forecasting, as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a SAAS or technology-focused environment.

Proficiency in accounting software (Ideally NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.

FP&A exposure, budgeting and forecasting experience.

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and familiarity with tax regulations.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Progress toward CPA is a plus.
