Summit Search Group is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Sheet Metal Technician to join our client’s team in Regina, Saskatchewan. Our client is a well-established organization providing mechanical services across commercial, institutional, and small industrial environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sheet Metal Journeyperson looking for stable, long-term employment with a company that values quality workmanship, technical expertise, and its employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and HVAC ductwork
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, fit, and join sheet metal components
- Install ductwork, fittings, ventilation systems, and related HVAC components
- Perform equipment retrofit, installation, renovation, and replacement work
- Coordinate with other trades and team members across commercial, institutional, and small industrial projects
- Troubleshoot installation issues and complete modifications or repairs as required
- Ensure all work meets applicable codes, specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices when required
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, organization, and professionalism on job sites
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson certification in Sheet Metal
- Completion of a recognized Sheet Metal apprenticeship program
- Previous experience with commercial and institutional HVAC systems is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of ductwork fabrication, layout, and installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service
- Interest in long-term employment and career growth
