Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate Clerk to join our legal team. This role involves supporting property transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with legal documentation related to real estate matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent research abilities, and familiarity with legal procedures to ensure smooth operations within our real estate department.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and correspondence related to real estate transactions
- Manage and organize property files, records, and documentation using systems such as Closer and Cosmolex.
- Conduct research on property titles, ownership histories, and relevant legal information to support case preparation
- Perform data entry accurately into various databases and filing systems
- Support legal staff with drafting legal documents and summaries as needed
- Handle administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and maintaining organized paper and electronic files
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, vendors, or internal departments
- Conduct interviews or gather information from relevant sources to assist in property-related inquiries
- Qualifications
- Proven clerical or administrative experience, preferably within a legal or real estate environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent proofreading, writing skills, and attention to detail
- Familiarity with Closer, Teraview, Cosmolex, and other legal research tools is highly desirable
- Experience in legal drafting, research, and project management is preferred
- Proficiency in data entry and filing systems to ensure accurate record keeping
- Strong research skills for property title searches and legal inquiries
- Good phone etiquette with professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
This position offers an opportunity to develop your legal support skills in a dynamic real estate environment while contributing to the efficient handling of property transactions.
Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
