We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard in Whitby to oversee the safety and security of our Plaza premises. This full-time position involves monitoring the property, preventing theft and vandalism, and ensuring a safe environment for visitors and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security. This role offers an opportunity to be an integral part of maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the Plaza to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Enforce security protocols to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical issues or security breaches.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist with investigations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with inquiries when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, or related fields preferred.
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Ability to pass background checks and any required security clearances.
- Must have a vehicle to utilize on site.
