Lube Shop Technician : Full Time : Chatham Ontario
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Open availability required to work Weekdays and Weekends, Open and Closing Shifts
1 year of automotive experience performing oil changes and preventative maintenance services is required
Valet Quick Lube at Valet Car Wash is looking for a skilled, energetic, motivated, team-orientated, and professional person to greet and serve our customers at our Chatham location.

What you will be doing:
· Greeting customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
· Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and managers to achieve goals.
· Completing and participating in on line and on-site training programs
· Staying current with all on-going product and service training
· Promoting and providing customers information on services, products, and pricing
· Guiding vehicles safely into designated lube shop bays
· Performing vehicle services including oil changes, undercoating, preventative maintenance, change and check fluid services and tire services
· Completing vehicle assessments and making customer recommendations based on manufacturers guide lines
· Following Valet Car Wash policies, health and safety protocols, procedures, and standards of operation
· Collaborating with team members, supervisors, and quality control specialists to ensure each vehicles meets company and manufacturers standards.
· Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including equipment inspection, work area, and shop maintenance
· Ensuring all health, safety, cleaning, equipment, site maintenance, housekeeping, and work area organization standards are met
· Staying productive and assisting with the completion of secondary site maintenance and seasonal duties to company standards as required
· Anticipating customer needs and going the extra mile to ensure a consistent, quality driven, best-in-class customer experience
· Working closely with the management team
· Ensuring safety policies, procedures, professional, branding and uniform standards are met.
What we are looking for
· A minimum of 1 to 3 years of automotive service experience with a focus on oil changes and preventative maintenance
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
· Detail oriented and good at following written and verbal instructions with accuracy
· Strong arithmetic skills with the ability to calculate measurements
· Able to read product specifications and part numbers
· Able to maintain clear, accurate, legible records and documents
· Mechanically inclined with experience in routine vehicle maintenance
· Good multi-tasking and good time management skills suited to a busy environment
· Proficient computer and data entry skills
· Punctual and reliable
· Outgoing, professional and friendly
· Capable of standing, bending, lifting, walking, and moving with a full range of motion for extended periods of time
· Comfortable in noisy, hot, and cold conditions
· Values team work and continuously learning, staying organized and productive in a busy work environment
