Construction / Landscape Instructor
Omnia Training – St. Albert, AB
Omnia Training is looking for an experienced construction & landscaping professional to join our team as an instructor. In this role, you will help train and mentor individuals entering the construction industry through hands-on training and practical job-site simulations.
This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge and helping others succeed in the trades. It is also an excellent opportunity for experienced tradespeople who may be considering stepping back from full-time field work or approaching retirement but still want to stay active in the industry.
Instead of working on the job site every day, you will be helping train the next generation of construction workers.
What You’ll Do
- Teach basic construction and landscaping skills
- Train participants in safe use of tools and equipment
- Demonstrate concrete work including formwork, mixing, pouring, and finishing
- Teach landscaping tasks such as grading, pavers, retaining walls, and site preparation
- Support training in skid steer operation and other equipment
- Lead daily safety talks and job-site safety practices
- Supervise hands-on projects and practical work
- Coach and support participants as they develop new skills
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in construction, concrete, landscaping, or carpentry
- Minimum 10 years industry experience
- Comfortable working with construction tools and equipment
- Skid steer experience is an asset
- Ability to mentor and guide people who are new to the trades
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
