We are looking for Geothermal Drillers as well as Drillers Helpers. These positions would be full-time.
At GeoTility, we have dedicated ourselves to being an industry leader by providing the highest quality products, technical knowledge, and service to our clients. With the help of our dedicated team, we have successfully completed hundreds of geothermal installations ranging from single family residential homes to the most ambitious commercial/institutional projects.
Primary activities will include:
- Performing safety and maintenance checks on equipment
- Setting up of equipment, hoses, pumps, etc.
- Handling drill rods, casing, mixing drilling mud/additives, installing loops
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and jobsite
- Performing equipment maintenance or repairs
Requirements and Skills:
- Hardworking, responsible & trustworthy
- A high level of safety awareness; a safety-first attitude
- Physical fitness with the ability to handle heavy tooling (50-100lbs)
- Flexibility with changing job tasks frequently
- Working out of town, long hours when required, etc.
- Valid class 5 Drivers License with a clean driving record
- Ability to overcome obstacles and think ahead before problems arise
- Be able to work well independently or in a team, with and without supervision
- Open to present solutions to problems and contribute to improvement of procedures and processes
- Willingness to learn and continue to develop trade knowledge with desire to advance towards Journeyman designation.
Assets:
- Construction experience
- Mechanical knowledge/skill
- ITA certification in water well or geothermal drilling and/or experience within these fields
Note that this is not a remote fly in/out position. You must be physically able to get yourself to our office located in Kelowna. You will be dispatched from this location to work within the Okanagan, Northern BC, Kootenay's and Alberta. All accommodation costs, flights and LOA is provided. When working locally close to our office in Kelowna we work Monday to Friday (typically). When we work 2+ hours outside of Kelowna, we typically stay in those locations and work either Monday to Friday, 10 days on 4 days off, 14 days on 7 days off or 20 days on 10 days off (schedule is dependent on crew availability, client schedule requirements and any noise bylaw constraints).
