The Network Analyst is responsible to provide technical administration and support for the hospital infrastructure. You will design, install, administer, and optimize network, servers and related infrastructure to achieve high performance of the various business applications supported. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring all new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the infrastructure environment. You will also have an active role in security of the systems and network. In addition you will have excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills along with making recommendations on the appropriate action to be taken to resolve problems.


Install, set-up, maintain, configure and monitor local area network (LAN),Wide area Network (WAN) and server infrastructure;
Evaluate and/or recommend purchase of network and server hardware;
Detect existing problems, gather all relevant information, identify underlying issues or problems and identify trends;
Provide training in the use of network and server environment;

Provides back-up to Desktop Support Analyst when required;

Follow ITIL best practices;

Stay current with technology changes;

Designing computer networks (intranet, Internet, FTP servers, web mail, etc.) to ensure effective and efficient running of the network;

Installing client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems;

Maintaining network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance;

Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives;

Responding to inquiries from staff, Analysts, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and support;

Ability to perform multiple, technical, highly complex tasks with need to regularly upgrade skills to meet dynamic job conditions;

Review and interpret complex technical information and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions;

Ability to schedule activities and meetings; gather and collate data;

Flexibility to independently work with others in variety of circumstances;

Ability to set and follow priorities;

Being attentive to detail;

Conveying technical information to non-technical audiences;

Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users;

Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services;

Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocols;

Inform the Manager when major issues are occurring;

Assists with installing, configuring and setting up of PC’s and Server when directed by Manager.

Responsible to recognize and report patient, staff, and environment safety issues, identify and implement preventative and corrective actions, within the scope of this role.

Qualifications Required and Preferred

University Degree, College Certificate or Diploma in computer related courses from an accredited institution;
Microsoft Certification;
CCNA, CCIE, CISSP, or CISA would be an asset.

Previous experience in a senior IT role

Experience troubleshooting advanced network and software issues.


Experience in a hospital environment.

Experience in a Meditech environment


Clear understanding of customer service principles;

Strong knowledge in administrative principles and practices;

Strong knowledge of PC workstations (both desktop and laptop);
Solid understanding of Server Operating Systems (Windows 2012)
Solid understanding of Active Directory and SCCM
Hands on and solid understanding of switches, routers and firewalls;
Solid understanding of LAN & WAN protocols;
Experience implementing Wireless Devices;
Demonstrated project management experience
Knowledge at advance level Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Strong organizational, prioritization and time management abilities to ensure that assignments are completed within deadlines and established time frames;

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.

Proven ability to assess inquiries and problems and to exercise good judgment and taking appropriate actions.

Ability to work independently with minimal direction;

Ability to flex hours occasionally based on work demands.

Repetitive movements with use of computer keyboard;

Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
