The Financial Analyst reports to the Plant Controller.
Strathroy, Ontario is one of two sites located in Canada offering softgel development and manufacturing capabilities for the Pharmaceutical and Consumer Health industries. We have a broad range of integrated formulation, manufacturing, analytical and packaging services to offer full service turnkey solutions.
The Financial Analyst role is indirectly critical to our patients. They continuously provide accurate and timely information to our stakeholders that supports positive business decisions with patient safety in mind, executing with efficiency always. Quality, safety and on-time delivery is a must to be successful in this role!
Analyze and communicate actual financial and operational performance vs. forecast and budget for each operating unit and department. Understand and explain variances accordingly;
Departmental spending and analysis. Provide timely guidance and support to departmental managers by highlighting variances to forecast and budget, recommending appropriate corrective actions;
Act as facilitator in driving corporate financial performance;
Assist with month end processing and analysis;
General ledger account reconciliations as required;
Capital spending tracking and analysis.
College diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting and/or Finance);
CPA or demonstrated progress towards certification an asset;
Experience and familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing and relevant GMP practices;
Minimum 1-4 years of work experience in a financial analyst role;
Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection;
Extensive proficiency in MS Excel;
Ability to delivery financial information in a concise yet thorough manner;
Strong attention to detail and analytical ability required;
Strong Sense of accountability and ownership to meet deliverables on time.
