Areas of Accountability
- Perform basic services: fire extinguishers, fire alarms, emergency lights and sprinkler systems, adhering to regulations, Fire Code and Municipality guidelines
- Install and maintain various types of fire protection systems at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions to service-related problems
- Participate in mandatory safety training and industry certifications
- Conduct site-specific training for owners and end users
- Complete inspection reports, associated deficiency quotes, material and labour documents.
- Provide solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost-effective services
- Inspect, service and troubleshoot existing systems
- Maintain proper handling/care of testing/inspections tools, equipment, and materials
- Answer and address emergency calls (after-hours and on weekends)
- Mentor / train Jr. Fire Service Technicians, as directed.
- Deliver excellent customer service while performing quality inspections.
- Perform code-compliant inspections of addressable and conventional systems
- Understand and practice applicable NFPA codes and standards
- Submit applicable forms and reports as per EFP policy, using various programs
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures set by Escape Fire Protection.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- ASTTBC endorsements (AL, EM, EX, WA) are required
- Cross Connection Control (preferred)
