Job Overview
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the position of Rail Car Loader is responsible for the daily unloading of materials consisting of a variety of bulk liquid, dry products, and dangerous goods in a safe and timely manner.
Key Accountabilities
- Experience working in industry or other difficult and demanding environments
- Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies
- Ability to operate or learn to operate railcar loading systems and equipment
- Ability to perform work safely and efficiently
- Ability and interested in being cross trained on various operations at facility
- Can accurately fill out all necessary paperwork Enforces safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors
- Ability to perform troubleshooting and general maintenance on equipment
- Ability to work shift work, 12 hrs shifts, outdoors in a variety of weather
- Preference will be given to experienced Loaders
- Physically able to carry equipment and hoses up and down stairs/ladders safely
Qualified candidates must be able to pass an extensive background check, Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Complete Physical and possess the Basic Safety Certification.
Required Qualifications
Experience and Education:
- Experience in Rail Industry
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- MUST possess a valid ‘G’ driver’s license and a clean driving record
Skills and Knowledge:
- Collaborate with others in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
- Continually seek greater knowledge about the systems, processes and hazards in the workplace, in order to understand not just what you do but why you do it
- Hold others accountable, and expect others to do the same
Job Type: Full Time, starting from $23.59/hour, Full benefits package after probationary period
