As a System Analyst, you will support our delivery of innovative and responsive library services. Under the direction of the IT Infrastructure Manager, you are responsible for the administration of EPL’s core servers, storage, Windows, UNIX and MAC OS operating systems as well as imaging technologies and virtualizations.

As an enthusiastic and dynamic member of EPL’s System Analyst team, you will provide leadership in the areas of virtualization, core security, and new technologies. In this role, you are accountable for day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, business continuity, security, documentation, server room environment, recommending future directions, and establishing procedures and processes. Your responsibilities also cover desktops and server performance tuning and load balancing, monitoring, and administration of the security, planning and implementation of related projects.

Job Requirements:
A related University degree (four year) from a recognized post-secondary institution and a minimum of five years of directly related experience.

Experience with the following is preferred:
Routing, Cisco IOS, 802.11, DNS, STMP, LDAP, DHCP, PXE, VRF, OSPF and MPLS (QoS) for the management LAN/ VLAN/ WAN/ WiFi/ VoIP network elements.
VMware (vCenter, vSphere Enterprise, and VDR) and EtherChannel (802.1Q) networked storage system, VersaStack.
Network attached Storage (NAS) systems, requiring expertise with RAID, ZFS, NFS, CIFS, and iSCSI.
Cisco ISE and ASA security appliances and related services (Analytics, VPN, VLAN, and IPSEC VPN).
Linux and Microsoft Server operating systems.
Database administration experience in MS SQL and MySQL.
Administration experience of MS Exchange 2010, Office 365, Active Directory, MS Server 2012 R2, MS WSUS, HyperV, Group Policy, SSL Certificate, Apache, MS IIS, Drupal, and proxy servers.
ITIL v 3 Foundation.
CCNA, MCSE (Server Infrastructure) or other network/server certification is an asset.

Hours of Work:
35 hours per week - occasional evening and weekend shifts.

Pay Band:
$44.64 - $56.97 per hour*

  • Approximately $81,568 - $104,098 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.
Shift differential may apply in accordance with the terms and conditions of the CSU 52 Collective Agreement.
