Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior RF Analog Engineer to help develop our next generation electronic warfare platform. You will have a proven track record of designing robust RF solutions which meet global regulatory requirements and standards. You will report to the department of RF Engineering and participate in collaborative design activities with other engineering disciplines to deliver quality results on schedule.

As a Senior RF Analog Engineer , you will:
Participate in the development of electronic warfare platform for command, control, surveillance, and reconnaissance

Architect wireless system using various radio access technologies (RATs)

Take ownership of the system level design such as link budget analysis, regulatory constraints, and components selection

Work on frequency and RAT agile radios for communication and signal intelligence applications.

Work with ultra-wideband RF transceiver chipsets and their interaction with FPGAs

Design ultra-wideband analog RF front-end circuits (30MHz to 6GHz)

Troubleshoot and resolve in-field issues

Required Skills

Bachelor/Masters degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering

Minimum 5 years of experience in an equivalent role

Expertise in analog RF front-end is mandatory:
o l ink budget analysis: noise figure, gain, IP3, harmonics, isolations, etc.

o amplifier design: architecture, power supply, noise figure, gain, efficiency, linearity, thermal, and measurement technique

o filter design and specifications

In-depth knowledge on various RATs such as WiFi, GNSS, and cellular with an emphasis in the physical layer:

o i mpact of modulation schemes on PA efficiency and power supply design

o f iltering and isolation requirements for simultaneous multi-RAT operations

Strong FMEA, organizational and time management skills

Experience in software defined radio is a bonus

General experience in Layer 2 and Layer 3 is a bonus

Eligible to be certified to examine, possess and transfer items under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and legally authorized to work in Canada
