Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support , ensuring smooth daily operations. this person should also be certified to withdraw blood and to inject. your cpr course should be current .This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and excellent communication skills are highly valued. Prior experience with electronic medical records and office management systems is preferred. The position involves handling front desk responsibilities, managing multi-line phone systems, and supporting clinical staff as needed, and if the person is trained and licensed , withdrawing blood for testing or injecting.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
- Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems like Avaros or Oscar
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting insurance information and payments
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle inquiries, appointment scheduling, and follow-up calls
- Prepare and organize patient charts, documents, and correspondence
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- help with blood withdrawal or injection , under authorization from doctors if the person is trained and licensed to do so.
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems such as Oscar or Avaros is a plus.
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist in a medical office setting
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Office experience with proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and data entry
- Ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining professionalism
- Familiarity with front desk operations in healthcare settings is highly desirable
