With the right combination of vision, drive, and talent, there are few things you can’t achieve.
At Sparkrock, we’ve achieved something great: a company that makes a difference in the world, while focusing on clients, employees, and profit.
We help social benefit organizations like nonprofits, schools, and government agencies reach their greatest potential through the use of technology. Every day more than 30,000 people use our ERP & CRM technology to make the world a better place.
We’re looking for a new Reporting Specialist (ERP) to implement and optimize ERP business reporting solutions for our social benefit clients across North America.
If you are an experienced Reporting Specialist or a high-end user of reporting solutions looking to pursue a role in consulting, we can’t wait to hear from you.
Reporting Specialist (ERP):
In this role, you’ll consult with new and existing customers to understand their reporting strategy and needs, and recommend the best solutions for them. You’ll implement and maintain reporting solutions, design reports, and train users.
This is an exciting opportunity to build something completely new, and leave your mark on our organization. As the first in this role, you’ll develop tools, cohesive processes, and resources that can be used going forward.
Practically speaking, you will:
Consult with customers to help build their finance, HR, payroll, and other reports
Train customers on reporting using PowerBI and other reporting tools as per customer specifications
Solve escalated support cases as needed
Travel to meet with customers to assist with implementation and optimization projects, and to provide training to their team
Coordinate with internal and external teams to manage timelines and keep projects moving forward
Utilize PowerBI and other similar reporting tools
You’re perfect for this role because you have strong organizational and time management skills, enabling you to manage multiple ongoing projects and meet your key deliverables on time. Clients appreciate your excellent communication skills, your patience, and your empathy, as this makes it easy for them to learn new processes and tools following your training. Your creativity will also serve you well, as you listen to clients and find unique solutions that fit their needs.
If you’re ready to join a supportive team in a rapidly growing company, then we want to hear from you!
Experience working as a reporting specialist, implementation consultant, or high-end user of either both PowerBI and Jet Reports, or other tools such as SSRS, Crystal, or ZAP for reporting
Experience or background in accounting or finance, with a strong technical aptitude
Post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or similar
Valid passport and ability to travel freely within North America, and comfortable with approximately 15-30% travel
Experience working in the not-for-profit, education, or government sectors (an asset)
Any accounting designation (e.g., CPA) and/or Microsoft certifications (e.g., PowerBI) would be an asset
Working with Sparkrock:
You’ll earn a competitive base salary, health benefits, 3 weeks’ paid vacation, and an annual education development budget. You’ll typically work Monday-Friday 9-5, with flexibility to meet project needs, in our modern, open-concept workspace with indoor trees, skylights, and whiteboard walls for impromptu brainstorming. You’ll travel to meet with client across North America from 15-30% of the time. We’re a five-minute walk from the Kipling subway & GO station and provide free parking.
You’ll enjoy workplace benefits like organic fruit delivery. You can bike to work, taking advantage of the onsite showers in our gym and the $5 per day bike-to-work stipend we pay in summer, and you’ll get plugged into our community – getting inspired by paid days off to volunteer at an organization whose mission makes your heart soar.
