At our ANIÁN Victoria retail location we are looking for an entrepreneurial Assistant Store Manager to bring leadership and symmetry to our Victoria team.
DISCOVER THE ROLE
As the Assistant Store Manager, you work in tandem with the retail store manager to build a team with a focus on leadership, symmetry and productivity in the shop. Your primary role is to deliver leadership and guidance to the store staff alongside the store manager. Along with providing exceptional customer service to our customers that demonstrates our values towards circularity, and slow fashion.

LEADERSHIP
- Second in command at the store - you’re focused on setting a professional and productive example to the other members of the leadership team and staff.
- Connecting with customers and your team. Leading by example, you coach in the moment and you're accountable for all areas of customer experience.
- Lead the sales floor to motivate the team to achieve store sales and customer experience standards in a productive and non pressure approach.
- Work closely with the store manager and head of retail on all store operations, leadership and staffing issues.
- Support the daily operations of the store to ensure tasks are completed based on previously determined priorities.
- Supporting the development of a culture that balances positivity, financial results, community impact and an execution-focus with a fun, dynamic and creative atmosphere.
- Keep the work environment professional and always keep the business needs first over personal work relationships.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
- Provide an exceptional customer experience for everyone who visits us at our stores, with a focus on connection and education of ANIÁN and our post consumer textile manufacturing process.
- Handle and resolve customer cases according to ANIÁN's values.
- Providing feedback to the store manager regarding customer experiences and staff's performances.
- Handle product issues: fit & styling questions, product education, repairs and damaged items.
- Supporting our customers by responding to them via email or phone.
- A supportive attitude that exudes positive energy to customers and staff.
- Partner with the store manager to lead our store experience to brand awareness, positive customer outcomes, invite to return with customer experiences.
YOUR BACKGROUND:
- Demonstrated leadership ability with at least three years of management experience in a customer-facing setting.
- A drive to always provide amazing customer experiences and coach your team to provide the same standard of service.
- The ability to take feedback and direction in a professional and positive manner from direct manager and department head.
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize the needs of the business based on current work plans and collaboration with the store manager.
- Proven inventory management experience.
- A keen eye for visual merchandising in a retail store.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- An outstanding attitude that exudes positive energy.
- College diploma or University degree preferred.
- Competent with technology. Shopify an asset (preferred).
