What’s the opportunity?
In this role, you’ll be part of the accounting department team working on a variety of accounting tasks including accounts payable, and accounts receivable tasks such as cash deposits and customer payment matching, and other related work, in accordance with KOTT’s internal controls and processes. Every day, you will have the opportunity to highlight your organizational skills, attention to detail, teamwork spirit and the ability to multi-task.
Your day-to-day
· Organize vendor invoices for input and payment, ensuring they are properly matched to purchase orders and receiving slips, approved and coded.
· Process payments to vendors
· Respond to any internal or external AP inquiries
· Deposit cheques from customers and post them to their accounts.
· Apply customer payments against their invoices
· Provide backup for the other members of the AP and Finance team
· Other general accounting and administrative duties, as required
What you need to succeed
Experience & Education
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in processing full-cycle accounts payable
· proficient understanding of applying customer payments against their invoices
· Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an office or accounting environment
· Diploma or Certificate in Accounting is an asset
· Experience with Great Plains Dynamics is an asset
Skills & Qualifications
· You work efficiently, and can handle a large volume of invoices
