Reporting to the Optimization Superintendent, you will be part of the Process Plant Operations Department. You will be the Plant’s optimization champion and value steward, integrating capital allocation, LOM and OPEX planning, operational performance, and decision excellence to ensure the plant consistently selects, governs, and realizes its highest-value opportunities. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Proven capability to challenge assumptions, break down silos, and build consensus among strong-willed Operations, Maintenance, Metallurgy, and Finance teams without direct authority;

Strong framing and structuring skills for complex, ambiguous problems; comfort with probabilistic thinking, risk trade-offs, and an "Expected Value" mindset;

Deep understanding of cost drivers, budgeting cycles, variance reporting, contract structures, and corporate capital governance frameworks;

Ability to translate complex metallurgical, engineering, or financial data into clear, defensible business cases & compelling presentations for executive leadership;

Strong foundational understanding of grinding, crushing, metallurgical recovery, and mill maintenance infrastructure to ensure optimization ideas are operationally grounded;

Proficiency or high adaptability with mining enterprise software such as XERAS, Oracle Hyperion, OneStream, or Anaplan;
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mining or Metallurgical) preferred, Business Administration, or Finance are acceptable if paired with mining experience;

Minimum of 7 – 10 years of progressive experience in in mining, mineral processing, or processing plants, or corporate capital/operations consulting;

Documented history of initiating, evaluating, and delivering major business improvement, bottleneck removal, or cost optimization initiatives from concept to execution.

Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
Minimum Compensation: $135,000CAD Maximum Compensation : $178,000CAD
