Job Summary
J. P. Commercial Contractors Inc. is an Owen Sound and area based General Contractor established in 1987 focusing mainly on Industrial, Commercial and Institutional type projects.
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople and performing general labor tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple facets of construction, including carpentry, and landscaping type work.
Duties
- Assist with the use of hand tools and power tools for various construction tasks
- Support carpentry activities such as framing, drywall installation, and finishing
- Perform all aspects of landscaping duties
- Help with demolition, site cleanup, and material handling to ensure safety and efficiency on-site
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
Requirements
- Previous construction and landscaping experience would be an asset
- Candidates with an AZ license would be preferred, however a valid G license with a clean abstract is a minimum requirement
- Ability to to adhere to the company's safety standards and policies
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Positive attitude and work ethic, with the acknowledgement of working in all weather elements
- Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
- Willingness to learn

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
