Role Description:
CDE Engineering is presently seeking an Intermediate/Senior Piping Designer to join our team. We are in search of a dynamic and motivated individual with robust expertise in Piping Design within an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) environment.
Reports to:
· Drafting Managers
· Design Leads
· Project Managers
Main Responsibilities:
· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior drafters, offering support and sharing expertise to enhance the overall drafting team's performance
· Utilize advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software competently, such as AutoCAD Plant 3d, Cadworx and other industry-specific drafting tools, to produce intricate 3d models and accurate drawings
· Address and resolve complex design issues, offering innovative solutions while collaborating with the project teams to ensure successful project outcomes
· Stay abreast of industry advancements, technologies, and regulations, participating in ongoing training and professional development to maintain expertise
· Undertake the creation of complex drawings for oil and gas facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards
· Evaluate and optimize electrical designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to safety and environmental standards
Required Qualifications:
· Engineering design and drafting technology diploma or related technical diploma or certificate
· Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in piping design and layout experience is preferred.
· Extensive experience working with specific codes and standard practices in the Oil and Gas industry
· Excellent knowledge of Autocad Plant 3d, Cadworx, Navisworks Recap Pro and Bluebeam.
· Previously project experience in Upstream and Midstream is preferred
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide and manage status updates and provide necessary recommendations
· Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
