Excel Towing is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team. We operate a diverse fleet of tow trucks, heavy wrecker, and support vehicles, and we are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work and keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy trucks and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Complete brake, suspension, steering, and hydraulic repairs
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
- Keep the shop clean and organized
Qualifications:
- Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license required
- Class 1 or 3 license considered an asset
- Welding and fabrication experience considered an asset
