Role Purpose:
Plans, coordinates, and directs program designed to provide the customer(s) with parts to meet the release requirements. This is achieved by monitoring the releases and ordering sufficient raw materials and related items in Just-In-Time manner and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
Responsibilities include the following:

Formulates and maintains objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.

Performs reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.

Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.

Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a review by the Materials Manager.

Reviews all data obtained during all activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.

Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during activities.
-
Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.

Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team

Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in Sr. Materials Scheduler activities.

Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry Sr. Materials Scheduler codes and standards.

Designs and implements Sr. Materials Scheduler training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
-
Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding delivery.
-
Analyze customer releases and inventory requirements.

Develop and coordinate multiple- production line schedules to meet customers’ ship schedules while meeting inventory goals, level loading and meeting customers’ takt times production.

Communicate with internal and external customers, in a timely and Accurate Manner.

Develop a positive and cooperative relationship with customers, some travel required.

Data input, clerical and administrative activities as required by the position.

Cycle count components identify issues.
-
Analyze internal inventory component variances, problem solve and implement corrective actions.

Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
-

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university Business, Logistics or Materials; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of automotive supply systems is an asset.

Computer literate in a MRP/JIT environment with the ability to generate and develop Excel spreadsheets, experience with Solarsoft/CMS is a plus.

APICS certification (CPIM or CIRM) is a plus.
