Job Summary:
We are seeking another compassionate and dedicated Male Support Worker in Georgina to join our team. Consistent schedule Mon-Fri 10.30 am-2.30pm
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to individuals in their home
- Administer medications as directed by a nurse or healthcare professional
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Help with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Monitor and report any changes in the individual's condition or behavior
- Provide dementia care and support for individuals with memory loss
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Requirements:
-Valid Personal Support Worker Certificate
-Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR
-Valid Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check
-G2/G License with access to a vehicle
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with individuals and their families
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting and assisting with mobility
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with dementia or memory loss
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
