Group Manager of Finance

Volaris Group is looking for qualified candidate that will have a solid grounding in accounting, finance and general business concepts, with superior analytical skills, strong work ethic, good interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of success.
Working closely with the Group Leader - Financial Services and ISV, responsibilities will include working with a number of business units with a focus on detailed financial analysis, management reporting (internally and to the parent company), acquisition support and managing various process improvement initiatives within the group. This role provides a self-motivated individual with a great opportunity to quickly advance their career in a growing company.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Detailed analysis of management reporting, with a focus on key operating ratios and working with the business units to improve revenue growth and overall profitability.
Provide decision support analysis to identify issues, opportunities and emerging trends to our business units.
Review and track monthly / quarterly deliverables, account reconciliations, and other relevant material in order to assess or identify financial risk within each business unit.
Support the consolidation and analysis of business unit strategic planning, with focus on alignment to portfolio objectives and effectiveness.
Focus on various process improvement initiatives with a focus on general day to day process improvements.
Acquisition support, such as pre- acquisition diligence and post-acquisition integration.
Work with business unit finance teams to continue to improve efficiencies related to the financial close process, financial analysis and business decision support metrics.
Assist with preparation of financial presentations for Senior Management.
Collaborate with other departments and build strong working relationships
Education and Experience:
Accounting designation: CA, CPA, CGA, CMA
Approximately 5 years in finance and accounting.
Experience in a technology-based environment would be an asset.
Strong communication skills and experience in dealing with various levels in an organization.
Advanced knowledge of Excel is required, as are excellent analytical and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices and applications under IFRS.
