Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Young Drivers Instructors to join our team. This role involves guiding and mentoring young drivers to develop safe driving habits and skills. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, excellent communication skills, and experience working with students in a classroom or tutoring setting. As a Young Drivers Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping responsible drivers for the future while ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.
Duties
- Conduct driving lessons tailored to young or novice drivers, focusing on safety, traffic laws, and defensive driving techniques
- Develop customized lesson plans based on individual student needs and progress
- Provide clear instructions and constructive feedback to help students improve their driving skills
- Monitor student performance during practical driving sessions and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate records of each student's progress and attendance
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere to build confidence in new drivers
- Stay updated on current traffic laws and best practices in driver education
Experience
- Prior experience in tutoring, teaching, or classroom instruction is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information to learners of varying ages and skill levels
- Experience working with young people or in educational settings is preferred
- Knowledge of traffic regulations and safe driving practices is essential
- Patience, professionalism, and the ability to motivate students are key qualities for success in this role
Pay: From $20.00 per hour

- Before applying, please ensure that you have a minimum of 5 years of driving experience with insurance, a clean driving record, and no criminal record. You MUST be a resident of Nova Scotia and hold a current Nova Scotia Driver’s License without restrictions. You must also be available to take a 4-week Instructor Training Course through our YOUNG DRIVERS® Career College. This has a tuition cost of $2000 which will be paid for by us.
