The School of Construction provides practical and applied skills training to meet the needs of Alberta's rapidly growing construction industry. We are learner-centered and committed to delivering quality curriculum in support of student success. The School of Construction is one of the largest schools at SAIT, with approximately 200 faculty and support staff providing training to more than 7,500 full-time and part-time students each year. To meet the diverse needs of the modern construction sector, the School of Construction offers approximately 20 full-time programs that are regularly reviewed and updated by expert advisory committees, ensuring the curriculum is always relevant.
This key position will provide leadership, coordination, guidance and support with Academic Chairs, faculty, and earned revenue colleagues for the development and delivery of construction focused corporate training and youth initiatives. The Earned Revenue Coordinator will be highly responsive to industry and professional association needs and opportunities, working closely with other departments and teams including Corporate Training, Curriculum, and Marketing.
This is initially a contract position that may become a permanent role, depending on the results of an overall operating model review.
Job Description

Manage and support the operational activities related to developing and implementing offerings in the Corporate Training and Youth Initiatives portfolio in the School of Construction.
Work closely with the Corporate Training sales team to set and achieve sales targets
Work with the Marketing Coordinator in the development of marketing campaigns designed to grow the business.
Partner with Corporate Sales and Marketing through things such as trade shows and information sessions to implement sales initiatives.
Manage and coordinate the financial management, scheduling, delivery and evaluation of a diverse range of corporate training and youth courses and projects.
Identify Earned Revenue growth areas and devise strategies to expand in these areas.
Coordinate the setting of priorities, ordering and tracking of capital, operating and accounting for the supplies and using available support systems and services for the delivery of corporate and youth initiatives.
Coordinate learner services and manage learner performance issues in the corporate training and youth initiatives portfolio.
Hire and train instructors and assist instructors in developing and maintaining effective methods of instruction, championing the development, implementation, and use of Desire to Learn as a learning platform.
Through collaboration with SAIT Corporate Training and the school’s Curriculum Development Coordinator, provide leadership and advice for curriculum development initiatives related to corporate training and youth initiatives.

Prepare proposals.
Maintain learner and client satisfaction rate equal to or above the SAIT average

University degree, or at least one related journeyman’s ticket or a technical diploma in the construction field. Preference given to applicants with a minimum of five years working experience with continuing education, distance delivery and domestic corporate training.
Experience in project management and/or site supervision.
Experience in instructing courses or workshops as well as knowledge of adult education principles.
Strong leadership capabilities.
Excellent analytical, communication, conflict resolution and supervisory skills.
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; written and oral.
Intermediate computing skills: Microsoft Office.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
