Overview:
This is a summer position only. (Mostly weekends)
We are seeking a detail-oriented clerk to join our team. As a Clerk, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment. Rider's Liquor Store is a fun, no stress environment to work at while maintaining a steady work ethic :) We seek individuals who support the team and care about our customers.
Duties:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Process transactions accurately using a POS system
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels
- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information
-Unload pallets of beer, wine, and liquor
- Handle cash transactions and operate cash registers
- Assist with product returns and exchanges
- Support other team members as needed
-Stocking in our coolers! (it is cold)
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues
- Proficiency in basic math for handling transactions and inventory management
- Experience with POS systems for processing sales transactions efficiently
- Strong cashiering skills to manage payments accurately
- Knowledge of retail sales practices and customer service principles
- Capability to conduct product demos to highlight key features
- Good phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally
