Overview
We are seeking dedicated Line/Prep Cooks to join our team. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive taproom experience for our guests.
Duties
- Preparing Ingredients: Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats.
- Measuring and Mixing: Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients, and preparing simple dishes.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the kitchen clean by washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and taking out the trash.
- Stocking and Organizing: Labeling and stocking ingredients on easily accessible shelves.
- Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
- Complete any cleaning chores associated with closing the restaurant
- Complete any extra tasks required
Requirements
- Experience as line or prep cook
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Must be legal age
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow recipes and directions
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the kitchen organized, stocked and clean
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant procedures
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
