Job Overview
Warehouse Cleaners are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the plant, including production lines, warehouse areas, yard space, and common areas. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient, and hazard-free operations by performing routine cleaning and supporting overall plant housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean conveyors and surrounding sorting line areas
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by sweeping, wiping, and shoveling materials
- Clean warehouse floors, production areas, common areas, yard space, and parking/lot areas
- Use air compressors and power sweepers when required
- Ensure all workspaces are free of debris, spills, and safety hazards
- Support general housekeeping standards across the facility
- Report any hazards, damages, or equipment issues immediately to the Lead Hand or Supervisor
- Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and maintain a safety-first work approach
- Assist with basic manual labour tasks when required to support operations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience in a plant or warehouse environment is considered an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Physically fit and able to perform repetitive cleaning and manual tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Positive attitude, courteous manner, and willingness to be flexible
- Consistently reliable and dependable attendance record
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
