A well-established and growing transportation company is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations and support continued growth. About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing transportation operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing personnel, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing fleet performance, customer satisfaction, and overall business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for daily transportation and operational activities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Manage and support supervisors, dispatchers, drivers, and operational staff.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics to improve efficiency, service delivery, and profitability.
- Oversee fleet utilization, maintenance coordination, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and service partners.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
- Lead employee engagement, training, coaching, and performance management activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience in transportation, logistics, fleet operations, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety programs, and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with fleet management systems, dispatch software, and operational reporting.
- Post-secondary education in business, logistics, transportation management, or a related field is considered an asset.

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
