Job Summary
This role is responsible for managing the daily operations of trucks, trailers, and ensure that accurate transportation data is recorded. In addition, you will handle customer inquiries on a day-to-day basis and deliver the exceptional service in a timely manner. This position is also accountable for upholding the company’s values, rules, and standards to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Job Duties
- Respond to customer calls, emails and quotes generated through our website.
- Assist existing and potential customers in providing quotes, orders and necessary follow ups.
- Process customer orders received through our portal, email, fax and telephone.
- Pre-call orders, update the order and documenting entry of notes.
- Office filing
- Provide inspection reports to our claims department when requested.
- Daily dispatch of trucks.
- Daily review of loads.
- Communication with fellow staff members, drivers, customers, Fleet Dept, and other offices.
- Open and frequent communication link with customer service group.
- Monitoring on time services.
- Providing reports to OEMs.
- Assist drivers with company handheld and printer issues in collaboration with our information technology department.
Education & Experience
- Completion of high school certificate.
- 2 – 3 years of experience in customer service.
- 3 – 5 experience in prior dispatch position dealing with vehicle transportation would be a strong asset.
- Knowledge of Canadian geography.
- Hands on experience in operations / dispatch duties.
- Ability to manage priorities efficiently and make quick educated decisions.
- Customer oriented and a team player.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- High attention to details and well organized.
- Good communication skills.
- Pleasant attitude.
- Fluent in English.
- Previous experience in automotive industry would be an asset but not mandatory.
Physical Demand
- Ability to walk up to 100 – 200 meters on compounds

Work Environment
- Work Hours: 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday 8.00 am – 4.30 pm, 30 min Lunch.
- Occasional Overtime as required.
- Indoors Office.
- Outdoor Compound with vehicles.
- Exposure to weather conditions.
- Will be required to attend quarterly (or as needed) Driver meetings for part day on weekend (Post Covid).
