Extended Education seeks an expert in Canadian Business to work with our in-house curriculum design experts to develop curriculum for the course MGMT 0100 Canadian Business: An Introduction.
The Content Provider will work with the Extended Education Design and Production unit, which includes an instructional designer and production team. The Content Provider must be available for virtual meetings with the Design and Production team during the development dates.
- Course blueprint with unit-by-unit learning outcomes;
- Course outline;
- Course schedule;
- Assessment overview and individual assessments;
- Course content comprising units and activities for online and face-to-face delivery; and,
- A production plan.
This course will introduce students to contemporary business management in the Canadian context. Students will examine the management functions of planning, organizing, directing and controlling and the business functions of personnel, marketing, production, and finance. On completion, students should be aware of the fundamentals of today's managerial world and will be able to discuss current issues challenging Canadian business.
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience working within a Canadian Business context with managerial experience in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the business functions of personnel, marketing, production, and finance. An undergraduate degree or a suitable combination of post-secondary education, designations, and experience is required.
Applicants must possess excellent writing skills, the ability to complete tasks on a strict schedule, and strong communication skills. Assets include applicable designations (CPHR, CIM), experience in the development of courses and/or teaching.
