Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assist in food preparation to ensure timely service and consistent quality
- Cook menu items according to established recipes, presentation standards, and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including chopping, plating, and storage areas
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold food safety standards at all times
- Support the serving staff by ensuring orders are prepared accurately and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock to minimize waste
- Adhere to all health department regulations and restaurant policies to promote a safe working environment
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
- Applicants must have or Food Handlers certificate or get one within 2 weeks of getting hired.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Experience with meal preparation for a high-volume environment is a plus
- Strong understanding of serving standards and customer service principles within the food industry
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

Pay: $17.60-$24.84 per hour
