Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Masonry Labourer/Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist with various masonry projects, supporting skilled masons in building, restoring, and renovating structures using a variety of tools and techniques. Your energetic approach and commitment to quality will contribute to the successful completion of projects that enhance our communities. Responsibilities
- Assist experienced masons with preparing materials, mixing mortar, and setting bricks or stones according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support construction activities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Support renovation and restoration projects by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new installations
- Perform caulking and sealing tasks to ensure structures are weatherproof and energy-efficient
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite by disposing of debris and storing tools properly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous construction experience or familiarity with masonry work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions accurately
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift, bend, and work in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Knowledge of renovation techniques, restoration processes, and caulking methods is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adhering to safety standards
