The Opportunity

This is your opportunity to be part of something new and exciting. We are looking for a Business Development Manager – ARIV & Urban Mobility Solutions, to join the General Motors’ Global Innovation team. This is a high energy, high impact, customer relationship role supporting several of General Motors’ newest internal start-ups. Reporting to ARIV’s General Manager, you will be responsible for growing and developing excellent commercial relationships towards achieving new client acquisition. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving to exceed sales targets, experience navigating complex accounts and a strong understanding of consultative and strategic selling concepts. You must be very comfortable working independently and creating and pitching highly customized sales presentations to senior executives.

What We Need You to Do
Your success in this role will
be a result of your ability to focus on efficient prospecting and networking,
the ability to identify and coordinate internal and external resources and the
ability to establish strong strategic relationships with high level Client
representatives, and high level (board) partner representatives. You will be responsible

for the following:
Prospect and develop sales
opportunities by engaging and converting net new target accounts for ARIV along
with several yet-to-be-launched internal GM start-up companies by creating
winning sales proposals, closing profitable engagements and facilitating
exceptional client services.
Proactively build
relationships, qualify leads and expertly advance existing commercial
relationships within GM’s core global brands to manage the complete and complex
sales-cycles.
Build rapport quickly while
cultivating essential internal relationships - based on trust, responsiveness,
support, collaborative selling and “one team” values.
Collaborate with marketing to
develop targeted, social and online campaigns to proactively respond to
interest and/or generated inbound leads.
Evangelize the ARIV portfolio
along with future planned product(s) and integrated solutions through
compelling product demonstrations, pilot programs and other innovative
initiatives.
Keep up to date and relevant on
industry trends including attending industry events to continuously enrich and
activate your network and boost strong business relationships.
Actively consult and collect
product/service customer feedback to be relayed to the product development
teams for continuous improvement.

Who We Are Seeking
Strong established network
within the logistics, micro-mobility and/or supply chain sectors
Demonstrated track record of breaking into and growing new accounts, achieving and exceeding revenue objectives in complex solutions environments at Fortune 500 clients
Exhibit “Challenger” attributes including an entrepreneurial spirit, hunter mentality and abstract reasoning ability to move seamlessly from high-level strategic direction to managing detailed tasks
Minimum 5 years’ experience in services, sales, or a professional consulting firm
Ability to travel globally to client sites (up to 50")
Degree Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
MBA or equivalent (preferred)
