Description: Thompson Construction Group has an immediate opening for a Regional Survey Supervisor for site work in the Fort McMurray/Edmonton area.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage site Survey Leads and teams
- Coordinate with site Survey Leads on quality of work and assurance processes for tracking and record keeping are maintained
- Hire and manage overall regional team of field staff and leads/supervisors
- Negotiate and manage third party survey subcontracts and subcontractors
- Coordinate with site & projects to ensure appropriate survey resources are assigned
- Manage company inventory of geomatics equipment and machine control equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Inventory and manage licensing for software and subscriptions
- Track and report performance KPI’s in safety, quality and workmanship in survey related tasks across the region
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary education in Geomatic or Civil Engineering program
- Previous experience in earthworks construction
- Proficiency in engineering design software including AutoCAD, Terramodel, Trimble and others
- Previous experience with GPS survey technology, data collection and data management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- CSTS/OSSA or BSO Certification
- Ground Disturbance, H2S Alive and First Aid is considered an asset
- Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test
