PURPOSE OF JOB:
To supervise the accounts payable department and act as a liaison between vendors and Highland Farms and collects accounts. T
This position is on-site Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision
· Supervises the accounts payable department, interviews applicants, monitors and assesses performance, directing the training and development of staff and carrying out disciplinary action.
· Reviews accounts payable to ensure discounts and deals are taken
· Develops, recommends and implements accounts payable procedures.
Accounting
· Liaises with suppliers, prepares debit notes and follows up to ensure money is collected.
· Responds to supplier inquiries, giving out information and resolving problems.
· Monitors Accounts Receivables and follows up to ensure receipt of money.
Administration
· Directs the off-site storage of files.
· Distributes deal sheets and price lists to staff.
Other Requirements:
· Post-secondary diploma in accounting preferred.
· Knowledge of Accpac software
· Knowledge of Sage Accounting software
