Position Summary
The Inventory Technician is responsible for accurately managing, tracking, and reconciling cannabis and production inventory throughout the facility. This role ensures all inventory movements are properly recorded, products are stored securely, and inventory records remain accurate and compliant with Health Canada and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, count, label, organize, and securely store cannabis and production materials.
- Track inventory movements between cultivation, processing, storage, packaging, and shipping areas.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in applicable inventory tracking systems and company software.
- Conduct regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with cannabis inventory reconciliations, adjustments, transfers, destruction, and waste documentation.
- Ensure all cannabis products and materials are properly identified, labelled, and stored according to company procedures.
- Prepare and organize products and materials required for production and packaging.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and communicate issues to management promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records to support internal audits and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audits and inspections and ensure inventory areas remain clean, organized, and secure.
- Follow all Health Canada, workplace safety, security, and company policies and procedures.
- Work closely with Cultivation, Production, Post-Harvest, Packaging, and Management teams to ensure accurate inventory flow.
- Perform other inventory and operational duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous inventory, warehouse, production, or cannabis industry experience preferred.
- Experience working with inventory management or tracking software is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle large volumes of inventory.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Comfortable performing repetitive counting, data entry, and reconciliation tasks.
- Ability to lift and move inventory and materials as required.
- Knowledge of Health Canada cannabis regulations and seed-to-sale inventory tracking is an asset.
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate records and regulatory compliance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
