Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently and that our guests receive high-quality meals in a timely manner.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure proper food handling and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Participate in the training of new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all health regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous 3 to 5 years experience in Italian cuisine, a restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
