The Bancroft Minden Forest Company (BMFC) manages the Sustainable Forest Licence for approximately 250,000 hectares of Great Lakes – St Lawerence Crown forest in east-central Ontario. The OPPORTUNITY
· The Bancroft Minden Forest Company (BMFC) is seeking a motivated and collaborative Planning & Communications Forester to join our team on a temporary full-time contract, with the possibility of extension.

· Work alongside experienced Registered Professional Foresters while gaining hands-on experience in forest management planning, Indigenous and public consultation, stakeholder engagement, communications, FSC® certification, and operational forestry.

QUALIFICATIONS & ASSETS
- Registered Professional Forester (R.P.F.), Forester-in-Training (F.I.T.), or eligible for registration with the Ontario Professional Foresters Association (OPFA).
- Experience in forest management planning, including Annual Work Schedules (AWS), Annual Reports (AR), Forest Management Plan (FMP) amendments, or similar planning products.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and planning documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with Indigenous communities, government agencies, industry partners, stakeholders, and the public.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout the Bancroft Minden Forest.
The following would be considered assets:
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, or other Geographic Information System (GIS) software.
- Understanding of Ontario's Provincial Roads Funding Program.
- Knowledge of third-party forest certification systems, such as FSC® or SFI®.
