KDR Industrial Services is a locally owned and operated industrial services company serving Cape Breton and surrounding areas. As our company continues to grow and expand into new opportunities, we're looking for an experienced Field Operations Manager to become a key member of our leadership team.
This is not a desk job.
We're looking for someone who is just as comfortable leading a crew on a job site as they are coaching employees, solving problems, and making sure the day's work gets completed safely and efficiently.

About the Role
As our Field Operations Manager, you'll work closely with the owners to oversee daily field operations while remaining actively involved in the work. You'll help coordinate crews, ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently, provide leadership and training, and serve as the go-to person when the owners are unavailable.
The successful candidate will play an important role in helping KDR continue to grow while maintaining the quality and customer service we're known for.
Responsibilities
- Lead crews on a variety of industrial service jobs
- Operate company equipment, including vacuum trucks and other specialized equipment
- Plan daily work with the office and help coordinate schedules and crews
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
- Train, mentor, and support employees in the field
- Monitor employee performance and help foster a positive, accountable workplace culture
- Communicate professionally with customers and represent the company on job sites
- Troubleshoot issues and make sound decisions independently
- Complete job documentation, inspections, and required paperwork
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and job sites to a high standard
- Assist in estimating jobs and identifying opportunities to improve operations
Qualifications
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in construction, industrial services, transportation, or a related field
- Valid Class 3 Driver's License (preferred)
- Valid Class 5 License (a must)
- Experience operating vacuum trucks is considered a strong asset
- Experience with pressure washing, hydroblasting, sewer cleaning, or industrial cleaning is an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate and lead by example
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable making decisions and taking initiative
- Committed to maintaining a safe workplace
- Able to perform physically demanding work and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
