Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking for a Manufacturing Team Lead, Chocolates to work with our manufacturing team in the fast-paced cannabis industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing chocolate production and team members.

Oversee Chocolate manufacturing technician

Handle performance management and goal setting for/with team members

Delegate tasks and handle issues as they arise with respect to workflows as well as people management

Provide mentorship to team members and assist with workloads when necessary

Ability to manage a diverse and growing team of individuals

Resolve problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety

Revise, understand, and follow all SOPs and related forms to GMP standards

Coordinate weekly inspections with chocolate staff, document and follow up on deficiencies and provide report to management

Communicate and work closely with Team Leads and Managers from other departments to coordinate activities that affect the daily manufacturing schedule

Work with Operations and Shipping and Receiving to coordinate storage of materials

Follow up with contractors to ensure work is completed and plan necessary cleaning and sanitizing

Use various computer applications to enable efficient planning and scheduling

Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies, and incident reporting

Communicate on a regular basis with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure company goals are met and the team is functioning smoothly

Knowledge of culinary or food manufacturing is valued

Commitment to health and safety

Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook)

5+ years in a supervisory position within a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of manufacturing procedures

Strong leadership skills, extensive experience managing teams

Creative problem-solving skills

Reliable, passionate, and organized

Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Must be on time and remain on site for entire shift

Ability to meet deadlines and ensure department goals are achieved

Accurately follow instructions, complete forms and paperwork as required

Knowledge or basic understanding of GMP standards is considered an asset

Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to support operational requirements
