Pay: CA$35.00 per hour
Sunhouse Babysitting Agency is hiring on behalf of a lovely Abbotsford family with two young children: a 2-year-old toddler and a baby who will be around three months old at the start. No postpartum care is needed.
About the role
Your primary focus is the toddler, with some infant care folded into the day. When the toddler is napping or being fed, you step in to assist with tasks such as diaper changes, bottle feedings, burping, or swaddling. Light household support tied to the children is part of the day too (laundry, tidying after the toddler, keeping play spaces in order).
Schedule (the role runs 4 days a week, with a seasonal change in the fall):
- July & August: Tuesday to Friday -32 hour weeks
- September & October: Tuesday to Friday, plus Saturday - 40 hour weeks
- November onward: Tuesday to Friday- 32 hour weeks
Hours per day: 9am to 5pm
Hourly rate: $35
Location: Central Abbotsford, BC (off McKenzie Road)
Start date: July 2nd 2026 (flexible to start earlier with the right candidate's availability)
Must own vehicle or reliable transportation (the home is not transit-friendly)
You'd be a strong fit if
- You have hands-on experience with toddlers, especially the 2 to 3 year range, and have experience with infants
- You're comfortable folding light household tasks into the day (around the children, not deep cleaning)
- You can commit to the Saturday shift in September and October

- You're based in Abbotsford or the surrounding Fraser Valley (Chilliwack, Mission, Langley)
- You're warm, easygoing, and a natural fit with family life. Personality fit matters to this family as much as experience and qualifications
What we need from you
- Must Own vehicle or reliable transportation (the home is not transit-friendly)
- Minimum Two callable references
- Valid work authorization in Canada. If you're on a visa, it must allow childcare work
- Current CPR, Driver's License, and Criminal Record Check.
