About the Role
As a CBRE Valuation Associate, you will be responsible for preparing market value appraisals and consulting reports on real estate assets.
What You’ll Do
Conduct extensive research and appraisal support tasks such as preparing analysis on relevant market sales and lease transactions.
Conduct research and collect data from both internal databases and third-party sources with respect to market rental rates, market sales and lease transactions, development applications and general market knowledge.
Maintenance of internal database systems.
Conduct interviews with market participants to stay appraised on current trends and developments in the local marketplace.
Prepare written market value reports with substantial analytical guidance from a senior appraiser.
Perform property inspections (including the occasional out-of-town assignment).
Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
Impact the quality of own work.
Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 2 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
If Candidate is not already a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, then they will be expected to join
Familiarity with cashflows and/or Argus Enterprise are an asset.
Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
Valid class 5 drivers’ license with a reliable mode of transportatio
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary being offered for this position is $60,000-$65,000 annually.
