We specialize in building restoration, waterproofing, concrete restoration, garage rehabilitation, sealant replacement, masonry restoration, interior renovations, and emergency restoration services.
As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to expand our client base and strengthen relationships within the condominium and property management industry.
Position Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and increasing GNB Contracting's visibility throughout the GTA.
This is a field-based position requiring regular visits to property management offices, engineering firms, condominium corporations, commercial property owners, and industry events. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator who enjoys networking, building relationships, and consistently following up with prospective clients until opportunities are secured.
The ideal candidate is outgoing, professional, persistent, highly organized, and comfortable initiating conversations with decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the GTA.
- Develop relationships with Property Managers, Regional Managers, Directors, Engineers, Asset Managers, and Condominium Board Members.
- Conduct in-person visits to prospective clients on a regular basis.
- Schedule and attend introductory meetings, presentations, and lunch-and-learn sessions.
- Promote GNB Contracting's services and capabilities to potential clients.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects through calls, emails, and site visits.
- Track all activities and opportunities within the company's CRM system.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Attend industry networking events, trade shows, condominium conferences, golf tournaments, and association events.
- Coordinate client appreciation initiatives and relationship-building activities.
- Act as an ambassador for the GNB Contracting brand.
Opportunity Generation
- Identify upcoming projects, tenders, and capital improvement programs.
- Gather information regarding future construction, restoration, and maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate opportunities with the estimating and operations teams.
- Assist in securing invitations to bid and preferred vendor status opportunities.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Maintain awareness of major condominium, restoration, and capital project developments throughout the GTA.
- Provide regular reporting on sales activities, opportunities, and business development efforts.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or relationship management.
- Strong communication, networking, and presentation skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Experience within construction, restoration, property management, engineering, or related industries is considered a strong asset.
Performance Expectations
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Conduct regular in-person client visits throughout the GTA.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients.
- Generate qualified opportunities for the estimating team.
- Increase GNB Contracting's presence within the condominium and property management industry.
- Contribute directly to revenue growth through new client acquisition and relationship development.
