Role Summary
Responsible for contributing to daily safety, productivity, and quality KPIs within the department. Delivers short- and long-term production results aligned with initiatives set by the Head of Production.
Monitors industrial equipment and processes safely and efficiently, including automated systems, lab controls, manual operations, basic maintenance, and housekeeping.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Safety
Apply workshop instructions and procedures.
Monitor and control processes via HMI systems.
Follow all safety requirements (LOTO, work permits, confined space, etc.).
Apply food safety, PPE, and quality standards (GMP, HACCP, STOP 5).
Monitor industrial equipment safely and efficiently, including:
Diagnose process incidents, ensure proper equipment function, and report anomalies to the team leader.
Perform basic maintenance to keep equipment in good working condition.
Record maintenance work orders in SAP and support safe maintenance interventions (risk analysis, LOTO, permits).
Support equipment safety during incidents.
Participate in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support onboarding and training of new employees.
Perform cleaning of the workshop and surrounding areas per schedule.
Conduct chemical cleaning in place (CIP) following safety, quality, and production instructions.
Apply and follow quality system procedures (SOPs, instructions, controlled documents).
Write, review, and update SOPs as required.
Identify operational risks and prevent hazardous situations.
Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
Perform in-process sampling and transfer QC samples to the lab.
Record production and manufacturing data in digital tools or reports.
Participate in safety testing of industrial equipment.
Contribute to daily performance meetings with cross-functional teams.
Complete required checklists and routine tasks on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Quality
Apply quality procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
Collaborate with QC to resolve quality issues.
Ensure compliance with HACCP requirements.
People & Collaboration
Communicate and collaborate with operators, shift leaders, and managers.
Maintain respectful working relationships across the plant.
Flour Workshop Specific Activities
Ensure safe operation of:
Participate in continuous improvement programs.
Follow all safety, quality, hygiene, and environmental standards.
Maintain confidentiality of plant operations and information.
Working Conditions
24/7 food manufacturing environment (continuous operation).
Occasional outdoor exposure to seasonal conditions.
Physical demands:
Lifting up to 25 lbs
Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs
Work at heights using harnesses and PPE.
Exposure to:
Chemicals (alkalis, acids, detergents, sanitizers; 20°C–95°C)
Dust, fumes, odors
Noise (PPE provided)
High humidity environments (up to 40°C)
Required use of PPE (uniforms, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toed boots, hard hat).
