Al Mustafa Canada is a registered Canadian charity (No. 744029711 RR 0001) dedicated to eradicating global poverty through humanitarian aid — including fund distribution, orphan sponsorship, clean water projects, free cataract surgeries, and emergency disaster relief. We've reached over 18 million people worldwide and are growing our presence across Canadian communities.
About the role
We're looking for a personable, driven fundraising professional to build and manage relationships with mosques, Islamic centers, and corporate organizations across the GTA (and beyond) to grow our donor base and secure recurring support for our humanitarian programs.
Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and build relationships with mosques, community centers to arrange fundraising visits, and stall/booth/table setups at events.
- Develop partnerships with corporations for CSR donations, matched giving, and sponsorship opportunities
- Represent Al Mustafa Canada at community events, Jummah gatherings, and corporate meetings.
- Coordinate logistics for fundraising campaigns (Ramadan, Qurbani, emergency appeals, other round the year campaigns)
- Maintain accurate records of contacts, pledges, and follow-ups.
- Report on outreach activity and fundraising results to management
- Represent the charity's mission and values professionally at all times
- Occasional work on weekends or evenings.
What we are looking for:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable speaking with mosque committees, and corporate decision-makers
- Existing network or familiarity with the Muslim community in Canada is a strong asset
- Sales, business development, community outreach, or fundraising experience preferred
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work independently
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (for travel to mosques/businesses)
- Strong understanding of marketing principles with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Fluency in English required; Urdu, Arabic, or other community languages an asset.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 25.0 per week
